Certified Tutor

I'm a undergraduate student in Stony Brook University studying mechanical engineering with a minor in computer science. My strong suits are math and science with my favorite subjects being physics, java programming and calculus. I've taken courses such as mechanics, statics, circuit design, and multivariable calculus. Although my primary programming language is java, I have also worked with arduino microcontrollers and matlab.

My absolute favorite subject to both learn and teach is definitely calculus. Many people find calculus scary because of all the complex equations and math at first glance. However, calculus is just simply a collection of rules of theorems, and like any other subject, as long as you follow the steps, its easy to solve. What I find most interesting about calculus is how it is in our everyday lives. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students solve problems, but also to help them develop a better understanding of the topic so that they will be able to tackle similar problems in the future.
