An understanding of history not only helps explain how the present came to be as it is, but can also inform our vision of the future. This is why I care about helping people learn.
I received my Bachelors from UNC-Chapel Hill, majoring in U.S. History and minoring in P.P.E.(Politics,Philosophy, and Economics) The minor is co-taught at UNC and Duke University, with students taking classes at both universities. The PPE program is meant to be a reunification of those fields, which historically were taught together as Humanities.
History is my favorite subject to study, especially U.S. History, but I also enjoy studying philosophy as well. I think dialog and discussion are often the most effective means of educational communication.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading science fiction and riding my bicycle.
