I am a Biology major at the University of Kentucky and a recent graduate of the Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science. I have worked with students primarily on a volunteer basis, both in a mentor role--such as helping Elementary School students with math and reading--and as a peer tutor, helping classmates edit English papers and work on study skills. Despite my predominantly STEM background, my favorite subjects to tutor are Reading and English. I have loved reading for as long as I've been able to do it, and I'm passionate about helping others to discover the beauty of the English language. My goal in any tutoring session is to act as a guide, giving students the right tools to find answers for themselves. In my free time, I enjoy knitting and listening to music.
