Joining Varsity Tutors is a great honor. As a product of New York City schools, I understand and empathize with our current students. Often, all we need to reach our potential is some patience, encouragement, and listening.

My educational background: I have a BA in English from Queens College and a MA in English Education (7-12) from Brooklyn College. My tutoring experience occurred as a student teacher in these programs. I acted as a teacher for an entire class; I also tutored one-on-one. These experiences were rich and varied and provided me with a good sense of what teaching entails. My favorite subject to teach has always been English. My teaching philosophy isbe a listener, be patient, and show the student that he or she is capable. Outside of academia, my hobbies are baseball and music. Theres nothing more enjoyable than catching a ballgame in the summertime. I look forward to working with these bright young people, to help them achieve and succeed.
