Elizabeth: Westminster tutor
Certified Tutor
My background is in history, and psychology, and philosophy. I earned my undergraduate degree in history and philosophy from the University of Louisville. I also attended the University of Louisville for graduate school, where I received an M.A. in medieval Middle Eastern history.
I have tutored introductory college psychology for 8 years and various introductory history courses for 2 years. I also have experience with test prep for high school students and early college students.
I love tutoring both history and psychology, because I find that these are subjects that can be made easily interesting to students who may not like the content itself. I find that tutoring is a great way to instill confidence in students and help them prepare for academic challenges.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, reading, crafting, and cooking. It may sound strange, but I also find research engaging. I am constantly seeking to learn more about the fields that interest me. I hope that my passions can help inspire you too!
