I am a not only a language teacher but an ambassador of the Language speaking diversity and culture. I am a cheerleader and I believe everybody can speak Spanish fluently. My academic background was originally in Spanish literature, but later I acquired a specialty in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I enjoy teaching with a style they called "total immersion" surrounding the student with an experience. An ordinary lesson should be a window with cultural opportunities to appreciate the arts, fragments of literature, folk music, and geography (like a virtual trip to a Spanish speaking country). I am very flexible when it comes to apporaching grammar because I understand it is intimidating and could be discouraging to many. I am very creative explaining linguistic concepts into living language and I profess a vocation of service. I am a devoted mom of special needs child. So, I learned tutoring for different learning styles when I had to re-teach my child at home what the public school system was not accommodating him. I am pursuing my doctorate but I don't take myself seriously. Learning should be pleasantly paced, engaging and personalized.
