I love to teach and I think that learning should be fun! Through tutoring I hope to help students succeed and have fun in learning (even with the difficult subjects).
I am originally from Detroit, MI. but I am currently residing in the DMV area. For undergrad, I went to Michigan State University, where I majored in Psychology, minored in Bioethics and Humanities, and also took on Pre-Med courses. After graduating in 2011, I went to Ross University School of Medicine on the Island of Dominica. There, I took all the major science courses including, Anatomy/ Physiology, Biochemistry, microbiology, endocrinology, psychiatry, neurology and much more.
After spending 2 years on the island, I returned to the US to complete my clinical rotations in various hospitals. I recently completed my medical school career in Nov. 2016. I have received my medical degree and I am now awaiting my residency program to begin in the field of Psychiatry. Until then, I want to help students overcome hard subjects (especially science courses) and get the most out of their education. I look forward to working with you all soon!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is to have fun. I hope to make each tutoring session a memorable experience. Thus, I try to incorporate funny mnemonics, stories, videos, or even songs to aid in retaining the material. I believe that people learn best when there is a positive experience associated with learning the material. Knowing that a student remembers the fun that we had during our session is reassuring that they will also retain the lessons covered during that time.
