What is your teaching philosophy?
Repetition is the father of learning.

Introduce myself and ask enough questions to learn how my student learns and how I can help them best.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
By teaching study techniques. Especially at the college level, studying techniques are everything.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
With results. The best motivation is to see progress and improvement in yourself.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would walk them through the problem multiple times and make sure that they understand it, and provide other practice problems.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Give more practice, and provide techniques to help approach questions.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
With results. The best motivation to continue is to see improvement in yourself.
