I am an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University. I am double majoring in International Studies and Economics with a minor in history. At Hopkins, I am a News and Features Editor for the school paper so I have a keen interest in journalism and am competent at writing and editing. I also read quite a bit, enjoying great works ranging from Paradise Lost by John Milton to The Complete Works of Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, playing piano and playing minesweeper on the computer. I am excited to work in tutoring because crazily enough, I think learning is fun.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Learning should be interesting. It can't be bland, unmotivated or meaningless. Therefore, the content has to be presented in an interesting way and that is what teaching is all about. When the stuff you're learning is actually interesting and provoking, the content is much more likely to stick in your head.
