The tutors and mentors in my life have been an essential part of my own educational success. To pay it forward, I am currently an AmeriCorps member serving as a high school tutor in Orlando. The ability to listen, recognize conceptual difficulties, and identify different approaches to teach topics is a skill I noticed from my own mentors and is now something I practice on a daily basis with my students. In addition to my strong understanding of mathematics, I believe these tools allow me to be an effective tutor.

I am available to work at most 15 hours/week. Weekdays I would like to work with students in the late evening (available 7-10 p.m. EST), however not more than 3 of the 5 weekdays, and with the autonomy to select the specific days in advance in order work around my weekly schedule. I am able to assist students on weekends as well: Saturday morning-noon and Sunday evenings. I plan to be available until the end of the 2015-2016 academic year (June), with the possibility of extending into the summer.
