I love to learn through exploration and inquiry. I'm originally from Boston, but I've resided in Minnesota for the past four years, after graduating from Macalester College with a B.A. in Religious Studies. Interests of mine include cultural exchange, cooking and eating, sports and dance. Throughout my college and work career I've spent time learning with kids and young adults. I have taught in classrooms, facilitated youth retreats, and managed after school programs. I have a deep passion for teaching writing and communication, which has been enhanced through travel. I've traveled through Southeast Asia and South America, all the while writing about my experiences and teaching. I believe that students learn best when they are enjoying the process and feel capable of breaching the social and academic challenges that come up. Moreover, students must feel a sense of trust and confidence in the adults who guide them. I look forward to working with you and opening a door to the world through shared study.
