For the past five years, I have been working towards my doctorate in American literature at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which means I have extensive experience instructing writing and literature to students at many different stages of their college education. With a background in college-level instruction, I have a firm understanding of what instructors expect from college students’ writing and high school students transitioning to college-level work.

My familiarity with the challenges that students face informs my approach to supporting students struggling with any and all aspects of the writing process, including time management, idea development, argumentation, research, drafting, revising, organization, and editing. Whether students are working on their college applications or preparing an analytical essay, I assist students in all stages of the research and writing process. From the early brainstorming stage to the final draft, I work with students to develop effective and sustainable writing practices that suit their personal learning style and current needs.
