I am a graduate of University of Richmond. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Leadership Studies, with a minor in Latin American and Iberian Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I am currently pursuing my teacher's license, through the University of Richmond School of Professional and Continuing Studies. I also work in the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) at University of Richmond, as a Fellow for Educational Programming and Mentoring.
I have been tutoring since I was in high school, from my own siblings and fiends to clients in school-based settings. I am currently a reading tutor for two elementary school students. My favorite subjects to tutor are English and Social Studies. I love essay writing, grammar, history and government!
I believe all students can and should learn, and love learning. I believe in creating high expectations for all students, and doing my part to prepare them to thrive in the classroom. I work hard to empower my students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, while encouraging them to develop the intrinsic motivation that is critical to becoming a lifelong learner.
In my free time, I like to be outside, whether it's hiking in the mountains or sunbathing at the beach in my hometown! I also love to bake cookies, breads, and all sorts of sweet treats!
