I earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in both Anthropology and Biochemistry from Beloit College in Wisconsin. Recently, I attended the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and earned a Master's of Science in the Control of Infectious Disease. During both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I pursued research projects abroad in Medical Anthropology and Biology/Diagnostic Development. Between my degrees, I worked as a middle school sports Coach and assisted with high-school Junior Varsity girls’ soccer. At the middle school, I was the head coach for beginning to intermediate girls soccer and basketball and taught individual skills, team skills, and strategic understanding of the games. I like to break problems into simple parts and focus on individual pieces before applying a group of skills to a more complex problems. I have always tried to combine concrete scientific education with the study of human behavior, and I strongly believe that everyone should be able to conduct and interpret research and describe it effectively. Thus, I enjoy tutoring a broad range of subjects, especially math and essay writing. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports (especially soccer), reading, drawing, cooking, and traveling. I believe that a passion for learning is one of the most important lessons to learn in school, and I look forward to the opportunity to cultivate that excitement in a new generation of students.
