Certified Tutor

I have worked with children of various ages for several years now. When I attended Florida State University I double majored in English Literature and Family/Child Sciences and at the same time worked as a pre-school teacher. I also became involved in various organizations that tutored and mentored children of all ages. In both my teaching and volunteering I have also worked with children with learning disabilities. I believe strong reading comprehension and writing skills are the key to success. As someone who was tutored in high school (I was an I.B. kid), I completely understand the frustrations of learning new things paired with the lack of motivation to even learn. Getting the extra help can be all that is needed to reach a child's full potential, and I am willing to take whatever appropriate measures to help a child succeed. I believe that if I can do it, anyone can - and I want to help!
