Hello! My name is Evan Leshinskie, and I am a first-year law student at the University of Utah S.J Quinney School of Law. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pepperdine University with my Bachelor's of Arts in Economics. I tutor a wide range of subjects, but I have the most experience working with students in SAT, ACT, LSAT, and AP/college economics. I have a laid-back tutoring style, but I make sure to present the content in the most simplified way I can to ensure students understand the material through guided practice. Over the past 5 years I've been tutoring for Varisty Tutors along with serving as a learning assistant for college level engineering physics. I've taught everything from SAT prep to advanced economics to Calculus. I believe in encouraging students to enjoy the subject rather than be forced into it. Once they build confidence in an area they will start to like the topic better and I hope to achieve that through working on the concepts and its practice problems as opposed to just aimlessly doing questions. I received my BA in mathematics and economics from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduating, I was employed as a high school math teacher for four years in the states of Tennessee and Florida, while also tutoring in STEM and test prep for a Nashville-based company.
