Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of both Rutgers School of Law, where I received a J.D., and Boston University, where I received a B.A. in English Language and Literature and minors in Spanish and Political Science. During my time at Boston University, I also pursued my passion for languages by taking several advanced-level French courses. Outside of the classroom, I coached several mock trial teams and helped new participants become comfortable speaking publicly and writing persuasively.

After graduating Boston University, I attended Rutgers Law School, where I was accepted onto the Law Review Journal, one of the highest honors awarded to students. As journal editor, I spent hours every week reviewing submissions from academicians and offering suggestions as to how to improve the organization, clarity, and quality of their writing. Beyond my journal experiences, the administration selected me to be a Teaching Fellow for the school's first-year student tutoring program. There, I guided students through the rigors of law school by breaking down complicated legal doctrines into basic concepts that could be digested little by little. I customized my approach based on each student's individual personality and learning style. While I made sure to be available to assist students whenever needed, my end goal was to provide students a well-rounded understanding of the subject material so they could eventually feel fully confident addressing issues on their own.

I have always been excited to help others access their full learning potential. I have held positions as diverse as Aquarium Educator, where I taught everyone from elementary students to senior citizens about ocean life, to my current volunteering as high school debate team instructor. In particular, I am passionate about helping students improve their reading and writing. To assist students, I draw from my own extensive experiences as an English Literature major, law student, and law firm associate. Whether the student need assistance with poetry, literature, technical writing, research, reading comprehension, persuasive writing, style, grammar, or anything else, I would be thrilled to offer my guidance. At the same time, I would also enjoy assisting students improve their Spanish, French, or public speaking abilities, as I am quite passionate about these subjects as well.

I am thrilled to offer guidance to students, and I know that with hard work and dedication, any goal can be accomplished.
