I graduated from Dickinson College with a B.A. in International Business & Management and a minor in German language. While at Dickinson College, I studied abroad for a year in Germany at the University of Bremen and tutored two high school students in German back in the United States. After college I continued my studies and received an M.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University. As a graduate student I volunteered for the Washington, D.C. YouthBuild Public Charter School’s Tutoring & Mentoring program with an inner city high school student. I worked with this student for two years and covered topics ranging from arithmetic and pre-algebra to U.S. history and government. I truly enjoy watching my students improve academically, and I have the most experience tutoring in German, U.S. government, U.S. & European history, and AP Human Geography. Having been both student and tutor for a considerable amount of time, I understand how important education is for young people. During college I swam competitively and like to swim during my free time here in the Washington, D.C. area.
