Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Stony Brook University. I received my Bachelor of Sciences in Biochemistry. My experience as a tutor extends back to high school where I instructed students in Algebra I, Algebra II, as well as Trigonometry. While in college, I was a teaching assistant for a course in cellular and organ physiology. My ability to clearly convey concepts both verbally and on paper greatly assisted students I have worked with. I am also extremely patient and friendly-- I am happy to answer all of your questions. I will put 110 percent into providing quality written and spoken explanations. Subjects I tutor include: Biochemistry, MCAT Physical Sciences, MCAT Biological Sciences, Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, SAT II Chemistry, AP Chemistry, General Chemistry, middle school Math, College Algebra, High School Biology, High School Chemistry, and High School Physics. I can prepare students to take NYS Regents exams in: Living Environment, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra I, and Algebra II & Trigonometry. I have an organized approach to learning, and will come to study sessions well prepared, and eager to teach! For MCAT students, I will provide organic chemistry, general chemistry, and physics cheat sheets that I prepared while studying for the MCAT during our first session. For all standardized test students, I can discuss prep books I recommend prior to our first meeting. I am passionate about learning and hope to engage all students in the subject matter. Outside of tutoring, I am a researcher in a molecular biology laboratory and was an EMT up through fall 2013. Hobbies of mine include playing basketball, running, watching movies, and spending time with my pets.
