Certified Tutor

I am currently a Language Arts teacher at Norcross High School where I have been teaching an SAT prep class four times a year for the past three years. Additionally, I tutor students who require language arts assistance. This year, I am teaching Senior Honors British Literature and Junior Honors American Literature. The previous two years, I taught senior AP Language and Composition which is my favorite class to teach. I also received certification in AP Literature. I'm dedicated to quality instruction, educational innovation, building relationships with students and their parents, and making learning fun. Students enjoy my class (my student approval rating is 94%, and I always rate well on Ratemyteachers.com) because I love to laugh and be ridiculous. Plus, I'm skilled at making quick connections to movies, music, jokes, etc. that kids can relate to and enjoy. Most importantly is my ability to zero in on what issues prevent kids from understanding and have effective techniques for developing clarity and understanding in students.
