I have a dual bachelors degree in philosophy/anthropology. As well as work and a passion for history, writing, and social studies. Most problems I have encountered in my teaching and tutoring simply involves basic communication to understand process. How do we go about solving the problem? Where do we start? What keys do we need to keep in mind as we work through a problem? Once a process to solve a particular problem has been explained and put to use, it becomes much less daunting. Learning these processes tends to work across the board in a general sense to help in more areas than just the specific tutoring problem. Being able to apply these techniques outside of a simple lesson is something that lasts a lifetime. I was fortunate enough to have had teachers and professors that gave me this gift, and feel an important aspect of my life is to give this back to those who need it.
