The student and I briefly discussed her test on chapters 4-5 since her professor went over the test in class. After that I gave her a quiz on the properties of the normal distribution and the standard normal distribution, and we went over the correct answers together. I also gave her flashcards with certain concepts and their definitions (e.g. independent variable, complement of an event), and told her I would quiz her over them at our next session. Finally, we began her homework for section 6.1, and practiced translating z-scores into percentiles and vice versa.

We did two reading comprehension passages. One dealt with carnival in the world and the other was a story about a feather, a notebook, and an ink container, and how working together they were able to achieve their goals. We saw the use of different verb forms and learned several vocabulary words.
