I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. I was a national topper in Physics at High School level, and am an expert in STEM subjects, including Math, Chemistry and Physics. I worked in the telecommunications industry for 30 years and am now retired. I have also taught math and science subjects at the college-level in New Jersey. I am focused on tutoring high school and middle school students in Maths, Chemistry and Physics, ACT/SAT Test Prep at all levels in High School.

My greatest personal satisfaction is achieved when I can help recognize and nourish the distinct talents inherent in others. I know that I would not be where I am today if it were not for someone at one point recognizing my potential, and encouraging me to pursue my goals. More than the numbers at the end of a income-statement, or the titles of positions on a resume, I find most honor in the service of inspiring people to chase their dreams, and helping in whatever practical way to achieve those dreams.I am a 2014 Graduate of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). During my time in college, I served as the President of the Inter-Greek Council, President of the Model United Nations & Debate Team, and Vice-President of my Fraternity.After graduation, I revived my NJ state certification in K-8 Education through Teach For America, a national non-profit organization that competitively recruits recent graduates to work in inner-city schools across the country. During my time with Teach For America, I worked as a full-time 6th Grade Social Studies in Passaic, NJ.I am active member of my community, volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America, and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County. I play ice-hockey & soccer, and like to balance a healthy social life with my other responsibilities.

I am a Colorado State University student in Mechanical Engineering. I work as a Physics and Calculus tutor on Campus both privately and during office hours. I am also an Engineering Mentor for the Incoming students in Engineering each year. I have experience with courses from chemistry to mathematics and physics. I am in Pi Tau Sigma, the mechanical engineering honor society, and genuinely love the subject matter with which I work.I also have a minor in Business Admin as I had originally begun a business degree and then transferred to the college of engineering. Therefore, I am also prepared to tutor in business math (statistics, calculus, finance) as well as management or introductory business coursework.I hope to earn my Master's and PhD in engineering eventually, but I also like hiking, sports, running and just about anything athletic or outdoors. Working on cars and learning new areas of STEM, like 3-D printing, are also hobbies.I take my job seriously; I have seen many students achieve grades they were ecstatic about, but also I have seen rising self-confidence and independent problem solving skills rise. Both benefits are a function of how effective the teacher is as well as how eager to learn the student is.

My teaching and tutoring experience began when I became frustrated by the public school system for my own children. Sometimes they needed extra help, while in other cases they were surpassing the curriculum available in both public and private schools. This experience opened my eyes, and I began homeschooling. In particular, I helped my last child, who is profoundly gifted, until she entered college at 13 years of age. I also have experience working in an inclusionary classroom with special needs children. Additionally, I worked to help college students succeed with goal setting and keeping on track to graduate from college. My most recent educational endeavor is working with an ESL school in Brazil teaching and tutoring all ages.I believe that you are never to old to learn new things. I love exploring and finding innovative ways of doing things.My hobbies include painting, sewing, crafting, gardening and travel. I love animals and have had many, including some most exotic ones while I lived in Brazil. I don't like to watch TV, but I love music! I have a wide variety of musical interests.

I have been teaching in the sciences and humanities for nine years as a private tutor and have also worked as a health educator at Peer Health Exchange and employee of the NYU University Learning Center. I support my students by helping them to plan out manageable study schedules, consistently providing positive encouragement, and finding creative ways to explain difficult concepts through examples, illustrations, and analogies. Through my great amount of teaching experience, I have worked with a diverse array of students and enjoy supporting all types of individuals with their many learning needs. Since graduating from NYU, I have spent three months in Uganda conducting public health outreach in rural villages and am now interviewing for medical schools. Outside of my professional aspirations, I also enjoy competitive weightlifting, hip-hop dance, traveling, drawing, painting, and reading.

After my graduation, I moved to the US looking forward to study a Master related to Financial Accounting and Reporting. Moreover, I came from a family that highly values education which it has been an important source of inspiration to me. So that, I started tutoring people since my classmates through adults wishing to improve their Spanish, English and Mathematics level, which I really enjoy those subjects besides accounting. In my experience, I figured out that my students have a lot of motivation to study as a team in a good atmosphere. I consider myself an immigrant who believes education is a source of progress and personal development as a citizen, and I try to share that message to everybody. In my free time, I prefer cooking, seeing movies, swimming and dancing salsa.
