Most students have some difficulty with timed writing tests as well as essay exams. However, there are strategies which can help.I have also taught Latin I, II, III and IV. I am a recent graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a dual degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. I have several years of tutoring experience in math, English, and broad sciences for kindergarten to high schoolers. Additionally, I have tutored several students for the SAT and ACT who have had favorable results. I truly enjoy working with school students to help them further their education and have made it a part of my routine since highschool.

I am currently a college student at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Through, International Tutor Training Program I have obtained level 3 certification. In my experience, I have learned that learning the material is easier when taught personalized in accordance to the tutee of which I abide by. Albert Einstein once said, "Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school".

I'm a computer science major at Penn State with a lot of application-oriented programming experience, but also academic experience. Some highlights include 1560 on the SAT and 5 on AP Comp Sci A.

I am currently a senior at Harvard College where I study chemistry, and I'll be attending Columbia Medical School next year. I have years of experience tutoring college students in math (mostly calculus) and chemistry including both general and organic chemistry. In addition, I am very familiar with all sections of the SAT and ACT having prepared several high school students for these tests. I believe that every student is capable of boosting his or her baseline score on these tests, so long as he or she works hard to get to know the format of the tests and the most popular types of questions. I tutor because I love seeing students develop a genuine passion for the subjects they once disliked (such as math and science), once they understand the power of these subjects and their applications to the real world.

I've recently graduated from UW-Madison with a physics degree. I come from humble beginnings. Having started at a community college in Florida and later working my way up to a top 20 school, I know what's it's like to start with seemingly no aptitude in math or physics. I eventually became confident enough in my abilities to want to pursue the field (physics) as a career, you might too. It takes hard work, patient guidance from mentors, and often times a certain shift in perspective. I'm here to aid in the latter two. I hope that after working with me, you have a greater appreciation for and comfort with math and science.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education at Gettysburg College and am currently working towards my M.S.Ed in Reading/Writing/Literacy with Reading Specialist Certification at the University of Pennsylvania. I spent the past year working as a full-time high school English teacher in the Council Rock School District where I taught ninth grade English, Public Speaking, and Ancient Mythology. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I have had numerous opportunities to work with students in various settings. While at Gettysburg, I was a tutor for several after school programs working with elementary to high school students. I studied abroad in England the fall of my junior year, and I worked as a student aide in a year six classroom in Lancaster, England. I also worked at Gettysburg College’s Admissions Office as a tour guide, which gave me the chance to work closely with admissions officers who gave me insight into the college application process and tips for writing a good college essay. I am able to help with any English subject as well as test prep for reading and writing. As a teacher, I am passionate about helping students achieve academic success, and I will bring that same passion and creativity to any tutoring opportunity. Every student is different, and each has his or her own academic needs. I strive to find the best -- and most enjoyable -- way to tutor each student to accommodate individual learning styles. Other than English and education, my biggest passions are music, theater, and sports. I love to sing and play the piano, I have been a participant and teaching artist at my local theater’s summer camp for over ten years, and I play softball, soccer, and field hockey.

I am a rising sophomore at Rice University. I am currently pursuing a degree in Economics and Managerial studies, with a passion for Economics and Spanish. I have helped students with their academic questions in high school and look forward to answering your questions.

I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. I received my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. I was lucky enough to travel to San Fransisco, CA for a co-op before COVID-19 but, since then, I have found myself enjoying the city life of Boston, MA. I am passionate about STEM and introducing these subjects to students as early as possible. At first glance, STEM learning may seem intimidating, but early and consistent exposure is key to tackling it later on in students' learning careers. Outside of academia, I like exploring museums and pop-up exhibits. I have also found that a stroll around the neighborhood calms the busy mind and recommend it to anyone in need of a break.
