I recently graduated with a BA in neuroscience from Carthage College. During college, I worked as a lab assistant helping students design, execute, and analyze research projects. Since graduation I have been working towards becoming a medical student. I enjoy tutoring to bring clarity to seemingly complex concepts. Biology is my favorite subject to tutor because most problems boil down to a few core principles with a vast breadth of applications.

Since then, I have worked on a few political campaigns including a congressional campaign, and Im happy to say that they were all victories. I have also worked at a law firm and for a local city government. Last year, I opened a clothing boutique and that has really provided me with the flexibility to do some of the things I really enjoy doing. Now, I am able to give back and help others achieve their goals.

Having started at a community college in Florida and later working my way up to a top 20 school, I know what's it's like to start with seemingly no aptitude in math or physics. I eventually became confident enough in my abilities to want to pursue the field (physics) as a career, you might too. It takes hard work, patient guidance from mentors, and often times a certain shift in perspective. I'm here to aid in the latter two. My forte is science, but I'm great with writing, reading, and math.As a quick background, I began tutoring during my undergrad as a math tutor for freshmen and sophomore students. I was then a teacher's assistant in graduate school for various environmental science courses for two years and absolutely loved the challenges and rewards of the job.

I have always liked math and languages. Also, I have always enjoyed teaching! It doesn't matter to me if the students feel passionate about the subject or not, or if they are really good at the subject or not.
