I'm Annelisa, originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I recently graduated from Yale University, where I studied art and its interactions with political journalism and science. I'm happy to tutor on a wide range of subjects, especially writing, college application, and the SAT!

I am very fortunate to be able to tutor students. There is no better feeling than to see the "light bulb" go on during a session. After building rapport, especially with reluctant learners, I always stay positive and compliment my students on even the smallest gain in understanding. Certainly, a little light-hearted humor goes a long way! In addition, I spend a lot of time preparing customized lessons, and being sure I present material in a variety of ways, so that a student's learning style is supported. I retired from a school district a few years back and, since then have been traveling around the world and working online with clients and students. This way, I can do what I love (teaching) while doing the other things I love (traveling and learning new languages).

Dennis Wieboldt is a second-year M.A. candidate in United States history at Boston College. Dennis earned his B.A. summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Boston College, where he was recognized as a Dean's Scholar and Scholar of the College. Among other undergraduate honors, including the Cardinal O'Connell Theology Award and Nicholas H. Woods Award for Student Leadership, Dennis also received the 2022 McCarthy Prize in the Humanities, a distinction conferred upon the best thesis in the humanities by Boston College's Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences.In addition to working with students in U.S. history/politics, I have extensive experience tutoring students in Spanish. I earned the Seal of Biliteracy from the State of New Jersey in 2019, and have since been engaged with youth and adult learners.
