Nathan
- Hello and welcome to my tutoring profile!
- I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
About Me
I began tutoring during college, working both as a mathematics tutor as well as a teaching assistant for college courses. I have experience tutoring in several different areas of mathematics, including algebra, geometry, probability, calculus, linear algebra trigonometry, and discrete mathematics. I am passionate about mathematics and I love getting students to see both the beauty and the usefulness of mathematics. I also believe very strongly in the importance of taking my student's individual needs into account. During lessons, I will break concepts down as much as necessary, showing each step of the problem-solving process in real time. I am also careful to fill in any gaps in my students' prior knowledge to bring them up to speed as we go along, as I understand how important this rudimentary knowledge is for success in mathematics. I look forward to working with you!
