I am a graduate of Glassboro State College (now Rowan University). My degree is in Special Education and my NJ State Teaching Certificate is listed as Teacher of the Handicapped K-12. I have taught in the public school setting for 27 years after which I retired to teach in a private school where I became the Director of the Special Needs program. I have also taught for an online ESL company where I taught students living in China. I have taught all grade levels and subjects over my career. I have also taught in summer programs and after school programs. I am well adept in meeting the needs of children with different learning styles and abilities. I have taught students in the regular classroom and in self-contained classrooms. I have taught students with learning disabilities, ADD and ADHD, multiple handicaps, communication disorders, autism and Down syndrome. Students have had a wide range of abilities and disabilities. Teaching is my passion! I enjoy getting to know the students and their families.
My main interests are reading, crochet, arts and crafts and training my dog. I love the beach and the mountains! I enjoy walking and family activities. I am married with 3 adult children. I have a standard poodle that I am training to be a therapy dog.
