In my academic career, I have studied at Miami University, Boston University, and Ohio State University, where I am working on my Ph.D. in Education. I have degrees in both English Literature and English Education, and have taught at the high school and college level over the past 13 years. Being a teacher is what defines me. For as long as I can remember, I have been driven by my passion for education, and nothing thrills me more than seeing the spark of understanding in my students. Put simply, I do not stop until I've found a way to explain the material in a way that truly makes sense for my students. There's always another way to apporach a topic, and I'm happy to try until we've found what works. I credit this for why I am fortunate enough to be a top-rated teacher in the top-ranked school in my state.
