I went on to Florida State University, where I graduated with a degree in Political Science and minored in History/Journalism. I am currently in Graduate School at Florida Atlantic University where I am pursuing a degree in Counseling. I am an author and educator who has work with students through tutoring, mentoring and teaching for 20 years. I started tutoring when I was 13-years-old and found that I had a love for helping people to understand concepts that were previously difficult for them. I also found that building relationships and tailoring tutoring to the interests of my students helps them to learn the material better and helps them take ownership of their education. When not tutoring, I am a writer, most recently publishing my first book 'Diary of a Young Black Girl,' a book of poetry.
