About Me

I am a 2010 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in History and Masters in Teaching in Secondary Education with a concentration in History and Social Studies. Since graduating, I have had three years experience teaching at the high school level in Chesterfield County, in various subjects including AP World History, and US/VA Government. I also have a year of professional tutoring experience, tutoring students of various ages ranging from elementary through high schools. Though much of my experience is in social studies and sciences, I also have a passion for helping students with reading, writing, and college essays. I also have the ability to help students to prepare for various AP exams in World History, US History, Government, and World Geography. I believe strongly in the idea that given a strong foundation and constant support, any student can succeed and achieve at high levels. In my spare time I enjoy coaching, hiking, and running.
