After teaching English, Reading, and Language Arts to students from grades 5 through 11, I studied Teaching English as a Second Language at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I earned a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification from there in 2006. My experience includes teaching local students and students from around the world who joined the residence program at Cotter High School. I have also tutored individuals and groups both in-person and online. I love working with students of any age or cultural background, and that gives me a chance to make a difference in many lives. I enjoy traveling and have been to India, Europe, Canada, and Mexico. Reading, writing, gardening, and studying Spanish are other strong personal interests.
