Tutoring review by Josie in Grayson, GA
The student and I spent about half the time on magnetism and the other half of the time on algebra two in order to get her ready to take her exam. At the beginning of the lesson, I asked her a lot of questions about magnetism to check her understanding and get her ready for the upcoming test. We went over what the left hand rule helps us figure out (direction of current and electromagnetic field lines). We also discussed that moving magnetic fields induce current in wires. After she felt like she had a better grasp on the physics portion we moved on to questions she had on her review for her exam. We went over some logarithmic problems as well as a few graphing problems to find domain and range. We finished with functions like f(g(x)) and what that actually means. A great lesson that really prepared her for her upcoming tests :)

Tutoring review by Natalya in Grayson, GA
The student had a review packet before the test that he will take on Friday. He felt pretty comfortable with graphing quadratics and stating the characteristics of the graphs. He wanted more practice on rewriting equations in different forms (factored to standard, vertex to standard, and standard to vertex). I gave him extra problems during our session, and I will send him more problems tomorrow.
