I am a student at Georgia Tech majoring in Biomedical Engineering and pursuing a minor in Robotics. As such, I am skilled in math and science. As an author and researcher, I leverage my reading and writing skills all the time and am passionate about teaching both.I especially enjoy tutoring reading and writing in English and Spanish, from introductory to high school levels. I received an International Skills Diploma Seal and Biliteracy Seal for Spanish on my high school diploma. I believe that learning is fluid and that education is a powerful tool that no one can take away from you.My passion for tutoring developed when I would help younger students and fellow peers and watch that invisible lightbulb light up when they began to understand a topic; it was very rewarding to watch them grow. Learning about students is so fulfilling - there are countless things a tutor can learn.

I have loved math all my life and I took lots of it in school as I obtained my BS in Electrical Engineering Technology. I even attended math contests. Now I have the opportunity to help others with their math. I have been tutoring for more than nine years and I really enjoy it. I work with students in middle school, high school and college level math. My daytime job, for six plus years, was tutoring college students in math and electronics. I don't just give out the answers but I help the student with the methods to find the answers. I can help with algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, AP calculus, math I, II and III. I am also very good with computers and Microsoft Excel.
The language of reality is Mathematics and my goal is to help students become more fluent in it. I have always had a mind for mathematics and science. Because of this gift, I was always the one person in class everyone asked for help. I learned quickly how to teach others, which helped in my home life as I had a younger brother who was not so gifted in math. Through him, and his friends who also struggled with mathematics, I found that most people struggle with math because they believe it is too difficult. I believe by being a tutor and helping others learn I can impart my wisdom to the next generation and make a difference in the world. What sparked my interest in Biology was an interest in life. I loved animals and learning about them. This love for animals narrowed to a love of the complexity of the human system, which I am now studying. When I'm not studying I enjoy music of all genre. From VNV Nation to Trivium to Earth, Wind, and Fire, I love all music and can appreciate most music. I also enjoy reading novels, preferably those in the realm of science fiction. And though I can enjoy playing video games in a casual sense, I'd much prefer walking Kennesaw Mountain or skiing on Lake Altoona. It is my hope that through my experiences as a knowledgeable brother, friend, and tutor, I can also help a broader range of people learn the subjects they are experiencing difficulties in.
Hi, My name is Amber Wilson. I am in my 11th year of teaching special education. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a concentration in Special Education from Georgia State University in 2011. I then pursued my Masters degree in Collaborative Special Education (K-6th) from The University of Alabama in 2012. I pursed my Educational Specialist degree in Special Education from University of West Georgia in 2015. I have taught resource/co-taught K-5th in DeKalb County starting in 2013 for 5.5 years. I then went to teach resource/co-taught middle school math in 2018 for Gwinnett County Public Schools for 4 years. I am currently teaching self-contained Mild Intellectual/Moderate Intellectual Disabilities in Hall County School District starting in 2022. I believe that all students can learn, and they will learn to their potential. It might not be what everyone else is learning and it might not be at the same time as everyone else. I also believe that whatever a child is growing up to be, it will be the best they can be and will do the best they can do. I like working with students and believing in them and giving them the opportunity to learn and fill in the gaps that they are missing.
I strive to assist students in overcoming challenges in English, Political Science, and related subjects, in hopes of motivating them to enjoy learning as much as I do.
