I am an experienced tutor and instructor of STEM concentrations. Throughout my collegiate career as a Biology major; I taught students in elementary, middle and high school laboratory techniques, physics, engineering, biology and much more. I eventually pursued a degree that encompassed my interests in both science and health policy and recently graduated with a Master in Public Health. I am very passionate about science, math and community health.

I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and plan to graduate in the spring of 2026. I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with hands-on experience supporting children in developing communication, academic, and life skills through evidence-based practices. My teaching experience has given me a deep appreciation for how individualized, compassionate support can help students thrive. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am especially passionate about Psychology and English Language Arts, including reading comprehension and writing. I love helping students connect with ideaswhether it's unraveling the complexities of human behavior or discovering the power of language to express thought and emotion. My personal philosophy as a tutor is to meet students where they are, build on their strengths, and foster a learning environment that is supportive, encouraging, and engaging. I believe learning should not only be effective, but also enjoyable, and I strive to cultivate curiosity and confidence in every student I work with.
Hello! My name is Jaime Rakowski, or "Mrs. Rakowski" to my students. I am a graduate of Central Michigan University as well as Kennesaw State University. In the 8 years after I graduated from CMU with my Bachelors of Applied Arts in Child Development, I worked in many daycares as my husband and I moved for his job. During this time, I worked with infants-school aged children. After settling down here in Georgia, I went back to KSU to earn a second bachelors degree. This time it was a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from KSU, I was hired to teach 3rd grade at the elementary school that I student taught for. I spent 3 years in 3rd grade and moved down to 2nd grade where I taught an additional 3.5 years. In early 2021, I also received my ESOL certification.Working with children from birth-5th grade, I have seen the huge importance of early childhood literacy. Early literacy has a major impact on a student's success in and out of the classroom. This is where my passion lies. But reading isn't the only thing that I love to teach! I also love math and social studies. Above all, I love to learn and I love to foster and build that love of learning within each of the students that I work with.
After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in English from Winthrop University I moved to Kennesaw State University and earned a Master of Arts in Professional Writing. Since then I have worked as an instructor and freelance writer. I have been published in The Escapist, Paste Magazine, and Gameranx. I have also designed two critically acclaimed video games.Along with writing, teaching is a huge passion of mine. I've tutored for four years, helping students become better writers. I've also worked as an English instructor at a college and technical school and know what level of academic performance is expected from students at the college level. I wish to help students not only exceed those expectations but also to give them tools that will help them succeed outside of school as well.

My goal is to challenge each student to become a life long learner and to demonstrate the joy of learning.
I am a senior in college studying to be a secondary mathematics teacher. I have been in many different classrooms, of all ages, tutoring students for over 3 years now. I have a passion for tutoring middle school and high school math (specifically algebra and calculus). Everyone has a different way of learning so it is important for teachers to adapt to the learning styles of their students. My tutoring style adapts to the student's needs however, it involves a lot of participation and fun. I have a passion for teaching and learning mathematics and I believe that it teaches not only life skills but discipline. Math is a rewarding challenge and it's pretty fun too.
I've been a teacher and tutor for over 30 years, both in schools and online. I received my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. I started out as a music therapist and have a bachelor's degree in music therapy. After working as a therapist for a few years I became certified as a Primary Montessori (ages 3-6) teacher. As a music therapist I worked with both children and adults but went into early childhood education when I realized that working with PreK and Kindergarten students was my passion. I love how open and honest kids in that age group are, even on the days when they ask, "Did you make your hair look like that on purpose?" I specialize in helping PreK students get ready for kindergarten and helping kindergarteners stay on or ahead of grade level if they're falling behind. My favorite subject to tutor is phonics/reading. I love seeing my students' faces light up when they realize they are reading by themselves! I love reading and want all my students to love it too! My teaching philosophy is centered around respecting students and appreciating who they are as individuals. I make lessons fun and use my guitar whenever I can. Everybody needs a dance break when they've been working hard on something! Sometimes I have a student who doesn't enjoy music and that's okay too. We probably still have something in common. My students know I love Marvel superheroes, unicorns, and coloring! When I'm not teaching I love spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, playing guitar, piano, or drums, reading, and hanging out with my dog. My favorite education quote came from Maria Montessori, who told a group of students that they would be ready to teach when they, themselves, were full of wonder. And I guess that's the best thing about spending so much time with children; they remind us to be full of wonder!
I am a graduate of The Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I am employed as a 2nd grade teacher in my local school district. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, and many other activities that enrich my life.
Hello, I am an 19 year old senior at Kennesaw State University and I'm studying for a degree in Software Engineering. I am also minoring in mathematics. I love learning and helping people find new ways to think about things to strengthen their understanding. I specialize in mathematics and computer science fields because these fields remind me of puzzles. Being given a set of ground rules and then instructed to get from point A to point B within the confines is the definition of a puzzle. Viewing these topics in this way is a great way to give people a different perspective on the concepts they're learning. That is the kind of help I want to provide.
I tried my hardest not to become a teacher. My mom was a teacher, my godmother was a teacher, and both grandmothers were teachers. However, it is clearly in my blood because here I am 20 years after graduating with a bachelor's and master's in education! I love teaching. I love to see the ah-ha moment on a student's face. I don't really have a favorite subject to teach because the subject isn't what makes teaching fun. It is the students. I have been teaching and tutoring for over 20 years including teaching in Central America. I believe all students can learn and pride myself on being able to find the right method to help each student succeed!

We all have are own way to learn, many of us do not lean new things in a traditional way. I believe we always need to always look for to approach a situation. Especially in game design where creativity is key. Just because a student is doing something you are not used to does not make them wrong, as long as we both keep an open mid we can both improve together.
I just finished college with a BS in Computer Game Design & Development and MS in Software Engineering. I have always enjoyed helping students, and seeing the little "Ah-Hah" moment is satisfying. I used to work as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader for Calculus 1. I have done it for 3 years, and the students I helped say that I am very good at breaking the material down. I was also a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Programming and have done that for a year. Courses/Content that I can help with Calculus 1 AP Calculus AB Trigonometry (Unit Circle) Algebra (factoring, domain, asymptotes, substitution, graphing essential parent functions) Elementary and Middle School Math The way I tutor is by facilitation, meaning I ask for participation, such as answering questions, playing games like GimKit, asking questions, and collaborating with other students. I use websites like DeltaMath and Paul's Online Notes to get practice questions.
I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2008 with my BachelorsDegree in Early Childhood Education, and went on to receive my MastersDegree in Special Education in 2012. Empowering students to take part in theprocess of choosing their favorite books and discussing story elementscreates a positive association with literacy at any age. Teaching isso much more than the challenge to me; It is and will be my students'venue to a better life. It is my greatest desire toteach and inspire students to reach their fullest potential.

Hello! I'm Giovanni, and I am an expert in social studies. I love to teach and talk about govenment, history, poltics, and law. I'm happy to explain US history, world history, and govenment. I look forward to meeting you!
Hello! Thank you for viewing my profile, I would like to share with you a little bit about myself, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! I received my bachelor of science in Mathematics in 2016 and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics. While in school, I made it a point to take the most challenging math courses possible. I taught mathematics in the public school system for three years at the Middle and High School levels. Teaching is my passion. I find the greatest joy in helping my students reach their goals and become strong in math, especially when they believe that they are not naturally good enough to ever succeed in mathematics. I love when I work with a student who begins with the belief that they will never perform well in their math courses. Watching them learn, grow, and develop confidence in themselves is very special. For the students that already have confidence in themselves when it comes to their math abilities, I have no trouble pushing them to their limit, being tough on them so that they can reach their true potential. I do not view tutoring as simply helping a student through questions, my job is to empower the student to be able to solve these problems on their own and have the belief that they can reason through any problem no matter how challenging.Thank you again for visiting my profile and I look forward to working with you!

I believe education to be the key to unlocking limitless opportunities in every aspect of life. During my matriculation towards both my bachelor's and master's in accounting, I learned that committing to a life of learning could take me anywhere in the world. I now hold the highest and most respected designation in the field. As a CPA specializing in taxation, I naturally enjoy teaching technical tax concepts that fall under the Regulation section of the exams. I have always been fascinated with the underlying "goal" that the legislated tax code looks to achieve. Understanding and explaining the science of the concepts to students and colleagues bring much satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment as adding value to the professional stature of our industry and, effectively, the world.

I also prepare for Standardized Tests (with remarkable advancements), by making it fun and keeping them encouraged as they learn how to take their knowledge and understanding of math and apply them to a standardized environment.I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and visiting historical sites that which enriches my life, expand my knowledge and gives me a better understanding of how to relate to people.

I am an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University, pursuing a Bachelor in the Arts of English alongside a Minor in Professional Writing. Since I was a kid, I've loved reading and writing. After graduating, I decided to share my expertise with other students, and realized that English is a subject many students struggle in. It is a difficult subject to teach, but an important one in our day and age; whatever a student's aspirations may be, a firm grasp of reading and writing is an essential skill. That's why I'm so passionate about tutoring this subject. In a large classroom, it can be hard to take the time to give each student the personal attention they need. Every student's level of understanding is different, so I believe in offering specific, personalized help for students who want to improve their writing. I love tutoring all things English, from Essay Writing and Editing, to Reading Comprehension, all the way to Composition.I believe communication is essential to our professional and personal aspirations, and hope that my students and I can help each other learn and grow as readers and writers.

Hi my name is Annalyssia Soonah! I am a graduate of Western Carolina University. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and another Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I am currently a graduate student at Kennesaw State University where I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant for three courses (Police in Society (2 sections) and Criminal Courts). Throughout my undergraduate career I have been a part of three different research studies and presented at five different conferences. The research studies consisted of researching scholarly sources, analyzing data, creating posters, and presenting at conferences. For my graduate career, I have been a part of two research studies about cyberbullying among college students. For those research studies, the studies consisted of researching scholarly sources, analyzing data, writing reports (the process of being published), creating posters, creating PowerPoints, and presenting at conferences. I have personally also been a Youth Develop Professional where I interacted with and assisted children between the ages of 4-17. In addition to the Youth Develop Professional position, the Graduate Teaching Assistant position allowed me to interact and tutor individuals from 17 and on. I absolutely love working with all ages because I love helping people! I was able to see my potential from my teachers helping me when I was younger and now I want to be able to give back and help others! I personally am willing to tutor any subject, however, the following are a few subjects that are my strong suit: English (all grade levels), editing papers, writing, reading, math, and criminology!
I've been programming for nine years now, and I think it's a very important skill to learn. Simple applications have the potential to save literal days of time quickly doing tedious tasks. I've taught several friends, and I love watching them build on their knowledge. My education started out as self-teaching, but I'm currently working towards a Bachelor of Computer Science at Kennesaw State University. I've worked with C++, but now mostly use C# and Java. My other languages include HTML5, CSS3, JS, PHP5, and Python.I'm also very proficient in mathematics, especially Algebra. In fact, before I switched my major to Computer Science, I was pursuing a Mathematics major. I feel that algebra is one of the most important math skills to develop as it is what most further math classes build off of. It's also by far the most useful field.I feel that learning should be done incrementally as trying to learn everything at once is overwhelming and ultimately unsuccessful. Smaller bites of knowledge are easier to digest, leading to a more rich understanding. Another thing paramount to building understanding is to let students have fun with the assignments! It's always better to build something that you're fond of rather than something you were forced to.Outside of tutoring, I work on my degree, build applications and work on building an interconnected system of computers. I also have a side-project game that I'm developing.I'm looking forward to working with you!
I believe that good teaching should help the student overcome the obstacle in front of them as well as the obstacles that have yet to come.
I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience. I have taught in the classroom for ten years and have about equal years tutoring experience. I am certified 7-12 English, 4-8 math, reading, language arts and social studies as well as in ESOL and gifted.
I strive to aid and educate students and individuals in need to be the best they can potentially be.
I help students gain confidence in math and science by simplifying concepts, teaching step-by-step problem solving, and building strong foundational skills.
I am a Junior Computer Science Major at Kennesaw State University. Throughout my education I have assisted friends and peers with understanding conceptual ideas of subjects, and I have been fairly good at it. I taught Computer Science and Physics in the past, and my goal was always to guide the tutee towards the solution themselves rather than explaining ideas the way I understand them.
