About Me

I am a Liberal and Fine Arts educator. I received an MA in Educational Theater from New York University and a BFA in Theater Arts with a minor in Creative Writing from The University of The Arts. After graduation, I taught at two prestigious secondary schools: Hunter College High School and Leman Manhattan Preparatory School. I became a certified IB Film teacher in 2020. I have taught Media Studies, IB Film, and many Theater courses to students of all ages. I have supervised many IB Extended Essays and all of my advisees have all passed with great success. I now teach Theater and Film at Dwight Global Online School. I am skilled in building community and relationships with students in a digital learning space. I've also spent seven years teaching in international schools, where I have the opportunity to meet students from all over the world. My years of teaching in academically rigorous schools combined with my crisis counseling experience enables me to nurture each student while cultivating their individual talents in a safe space. When I am not teaching, I am directing, reading books, watching films, studying American Sign Language, or spending time in nature with my family.
