About Me

My name is Kristin Schultz. I have taught in the elementary setting for 6 years. I have experience with K-4th grade, and am familiar with the 3rd grade reading guarantee (AIR) test in the state of Ohio. I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Education and The American College of Education in 2022 with a masters in Educational Literacy. I have experience teaching beginning readers strategies to help them in their reading journey, utilizing decoding skills, phonemic awareness and direct instruction in phonics to guide developing readers and helping them to get stronger in their reading skills. I have experience helping older readers develop skills needed for comprehension such as teaching how to synthesize and analyze text. I obtained my dyslexia certificate by the state of Ohio in May of 2023 indicating I participated in trainings and completed a dyslexia course.
