I have always been passionate about helping others, and have always found fulfillment in learning and sharing new information, skills, and techniques. I started as an educational assistant, and received my Bachelors of Elementary Education, with an ESOL endorsement, from George Fox University in the spring of 2019. I then became a substitute teacher and an online ESOL teacher. This year, I have had the amazing opportunity to work in a Montessori preschool. I cannot put into words how fortunate I was to find this position. I have learned so much, and have found a teaching style that aligns more closely with my philosophy - children are more capable than we often expect. Through these experiences, I have learned that I enjoy teaching all subjects, but, because I have witnessed my husband's struggles with dyslexic, I am most passionate about literacy. I believe that my life's purpose is to help children learn, grow, and overcome their challenges.

Some of the things I enjoy the most are: spending time outdoors - light hikes, amateur fishing, and car camping; reading - all kinds of books, but my favorite are mysteries; arts and crafts - drawing, painting, sewing, crocheting; and spending time with my family - especially my grand-kids.
