About Me

I grew up speaking English and Spanish. I obtained my Bachelor's of Arts from the University of Texas in 2003. I majored in Spanish and minored in English. I also obtained my TESOL in 2018. I first started tutoring English when I was in college. I worked on campus in their tutoring center. I really enjoyed this. Next I worked as a Bilingual Substitute Teacher with the school district. I did this for many years and have extensive experience in many grade levels. For a while I also worked as a Spanish and Portuguese teacher for a language school. Recently, I have been teaching ESL online for almost three years. With smaller children I try to be more fun and engaging. I like to adapt to a students personality. Some are very outgoing and others have a more quiet nature about them. It is important to make them feel comfortable.
