Having raised two sons, I discovered that I love teaching. I instructed young people both as a coach and by tutoring my sons and their friends usually in physics and math. I graduated 3rd in my class from the United States Military Academy at West Point majoring in Physics. Later, I earned a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Despite that, my professional career was actually in high tech sales. I was fortunate to have a great high school physics teacher that inspired me to major in physics in college. I hope to pay it forward and motivate others to love physics and math as much as I do. Common feedback that I get is that I'm very good at simplifying complex topics so that they are easily understood.

I was an intercollegiate ski racer (slalom and giant slalom) so I love skiing. Otherwise, I like watching football, home improvement projects, and tutoring.
