Since graduating from Arizona State University, I have pursued my passion through the lens of creative writing and teaching. As of September of 2021, I have successfully published two books of poetry and will be premiering my first linked collection of young adult fantasy stories in December. Given this, I consider myself to be the perfect tutor for all your writing needs as you traverse the magical, messy process of creative writing. Moreover, I believe words create a home within us and they're important as they open up spaces for us as human beings to wrestle with the world around us. As an educator, I constantly reflect on the intrinsic power of words and how I can hold space for you as you contemplate these meaning-based questions on the page. My education has provided me with the interdisciplinary background, which I consider to be crucial for all teachers and fellow creatives. I am cognizant of gender theory, feminism, literature, hermeneutics, and the importance of communication and holding/creating space for my students. Along with this, I have ample experience in mediating an online classroom environment through the Zoom Platform. Perhaps, above all else, I would like to leave you with this final note: I believe your words pressed to the page are powerful and they're incredibly important.
