About Me

I am flexible, adaptable, and believe that learning can be fun. Over the years, I have accumulated quite a variety of teaching techniques and props to facilitate tutoring. Establishing a rapport with my students is important. This means that I am an active listener when I interact with my students. My students know that I care about them, their learning challenges, and their interests. My favorite subjects to tutor and teach are the language arts, including reading, writing, speaking and listening. In my spare time, I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, my pets (dog, parakeets), bird watching, Pilates, cooking/baking, reading and playing the piano.
