About Me

I have had the privilege of working one-on-one with individuals (students and adults) for the last several years with various academic capabilities. I am truly a social person that loves interacting with others and helping them learn and develop stronger skills to help them be successful. I believe it is important to be flexible and have the ability to modify teaching approaches to best fit the individual. I received my Education Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University (IU). I also did my undergraduate work at IU, earning a Psychology and Criminal Justice degree. Throughout my time in college, I took a variety of English courses and truly enjoyed learning and becoming a strong writer. Because of this, I hope to tutor individuals who may need help with writing, English, grammar, etc. I have also been able to teach ESL for the last 4 years in an online format. I love teaching students English, vocabulary, story-telling, reading, and grammar. Outside of working and teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family - my husband and our two children. We love swimming, reading, and traveling. I also enjoy Harry Potter, movies, and Italian food.
