- My goal is to make a student's learning as educational and welcoming as possible, since new classes can be intimidating.
About Me
While pursuing my higher education (B.S. at Castleton University, VT, and M.S. at University of Montana, MT) focused in chemistry, I have been fortunate enough to tutor and teach students at the undergraduate level for the past 9 years in mainly science and mathematics. I tutored for 4 years in General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Algebra I & II, Statistics I, Microbiology, and Physics at the undergraduate level. I also was a teaching assistant for the past 5 years and taught 6 courses focused on General / Introduction to Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. I have tutored over 200 students in the past 9 years (individually, small groups, and classroom settings) and have received over 98% of exemplary reviews. When I teach / tutor, I try to adapt my methods to what would be best for the student, whether that be analogies, practice problems, visuals, or a combination. I try to make my teaching methods one that students can look forward to.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy exploring new places, being outside through hiking and skiing, volunteering at my local animal shelter, and rock climbing.
