About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English. I began my teaching career as an elementary school teacher, moved on to middle school, and have now landed in high school. As I have moved through the various divisions, K-12, I have been consistently amazed by the students I had the privilege of working with. I love working with students and I am particularly interested in getting them as passionate about Literature and Creative Writing as I am. I also spent 9 years taking students to state parks where we spent a few days at the beginning of each school year camping and hiking and just getting to know each other outside of an academic setting. This helped us learn life lessons that helped my students develop the kind of grit required to succeed in academics and in life.
