I am teaching an undergrad statistics class (in behavioral science), and I love the experience -- helping students always fill me with a sense of accomplishment which I enjoy. I have my strength in research methods and statistics, and these are the subjects that I have most experience teaching and practicing. I am properly equipped to help anyone from undergraduate to doctorate studies regarding these subjects. I am also bilingual in Chinese and English, so I can help with any Chinese related materials as well. I believe a great learning experience starts with a thorough assessment of what needs to be done. As such, anytime I meet with a student we first determine the issue on hand, and we work around the issue building necessary prior knowledge, clarifying/understanding challenging concepts, and/or practicing application of learned materials. My teaching style is always learner focused for example, how the student sees his/her problems is more important than how I see the issues. Recently I developed a lot of indoor activity interests, such as movies and books, which we can surely discuss during breaks!
