About Me
In high school, I worked at Mathnasium, a math tutoring center, and have had extensive experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. Everyone learns differently, and I have to be perceptive enough to assess what they need. The same method won't work for every student, but I've developed a vault of techniques to use for every skill that I teach, so if they aren't getting it, I just start up a new way of teaching. Currently, I am a chemistry tutor on campus. The most rewarding part of tutoring is seeing when the students truly understand a concept. You can physically see their thought process, the gears grinding in their head, and, when it all clicks, their eyes light up. In my free time, I am a part of an a cappella group on campus and I volunteer with Yale Children's Theater to organize theater workshops for local elementary school students.
