I want to tutor because I love watching others succeed. There have been many moments in my educational career where I have struggled to grasp a concept, and there is nothing more satisfying than when someone finally explains it to me in a way that clicks. I want to help others experience that feeling. I am most interested in teaching reading and writing because I have noticed people often feel very overwhelmed by them at first but, with the right tools, they can be very manageable. I can also tutor in public speaking and math. I am willing to explain something over and over again in as many different ways as are necessary in order for someone to truly master the material. I have experience working with elementary children as both a tutor and a mentor through volunteer programs I have participated in over the last several years. In my spare time, I enjoy watching crime shows, trying new restaurants with friends, and reading.
