I have been a substitute teacher and online teacher for the last few years, teaching a wide range of students and subjects, but my favorite is always reading and writing. Talking about contemporary authors like John Green, classic novels like TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, or literary heroes like Shakespeare never feels like work! It makes me incredibly sad to hear a student say that they hate reading. To me that means they aren't reading the right books. My goal is to make reading enjoyable for every student, because reading leads to better writing, comprehension, and a fuller education in all aspects of life.
