About Me

I am a graduate of Georgia College and State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Since graduation, I have continued my education as a teaching assistant at the University of Tennessee, teaching and tutoring general chemistry as well as organic chemistry. While chemistry has been my focus, I also enjoy exploring and tutoring physics and math as they are related fields of study. My desire to teach stems from my past mentors. Their impact on my life inspires me to do the same. As an educator, I feel it is important to make knowledge relatable with the end goal being a way of thinking and processing information that a student can take with them rather than solely knowing facts. Outside of academics, I enjoy music, board games, and outlets to stretch my brain.
