About Me

My love for reading as a small child has developed into a life-long passion for language, literature, and education. Learning from educators who are not only well-versed in their subjects, but truly devoted to inspiring enthusiasm for learning in others, is what has led me to pursue tutoring myself. I have gained so much from my experiences teaching English as a foreign language to Italian students in Bologna, Italy and as a voluntary tutor for students from disadvantaged areas in Dublin, Ireland. What I enjoy most about tutoring is how it enables me to conceive of concepts and texts I'm familiar with in entirely new ways, through the perspectives of my students. In my spare time, I love to read (fiction, poetry, non-fiction, literary journals a bit of everything!) and I also write creatively. I love music of all kinds, particularly going to hear live music. I'm also a interested in film, travel, and walking outdoors.
